Polyimide Fibre (PI)

Polyimide Fibre (PI)

Polyimides are polycondensates from aromatized monomers with particularly high heat resistance
The company Inspec Fibres manufactures  these fibres and markets them under the brand name P 84®.
The fibre has good chemical resistance, but this is endangered under highly alkaline moisture conditions. There is a limited tendency to oxidation through O2 or NO2 at high temperatures.
Multilobal fibre cross-section with very high fibre surface and very good dust separating efficiency.
