The raw mill has a separate baghouse in older cement plants only. In new plants however, for energetic reasons, the exhaust gas from the kiln passes the raw mill and goes to a combined baghouse.
When dedusting the finish mill, the requirements depend in particular on the fineness of the cement and of its aggregates. A fineness of up to 7,000 cm²/g can only be attained with high-tech filter media. Grinding pure slag or slag sand also often requires an increased efficiency of the filter media. KAYSER offers a great number of needlefelts for this with special Multitex fibre blends, microfibre content or membrane technology.
