This process is used in the food industry e.g. to grind cereal flour. Here, the starch in the cereal is broken down and the water absorption in the cereal flour is increased.
In the chemicals industry, grinding plants are used to produce magnetite particles (iron oxides), e.g. for producing toners. The particles are produced in a suspension and dried afterwards. The outcoming powder will be ground.
The dust-loaded air stream from the grinding system is dedusted in a combination of cyclones and fabric filters.
